Emo hair cut that doesn't require teasing?

I love emo hairstyles but I don't wanna tease it.. it knots my hair and is really bad for it. I have brownish blonde hair thats thick right past my shoulders. I really need some ideas and I don't wanna cut my hair either lol please some ideas and pics too thanks

if your not going to cut your hair or tease it then forget about it.

and teasing is not bad for your hair! all you use is hairspray and puff it up. and your probally not doing it right if it's knotting.

its goinrg to be pretty hard if you don't do either.

do you have any layers at all?

i mean if you have some short ones at all you could get some wax and run it through to try to get some texture..

if not its going to be pretty hard to pull off.

and honestly teasing isn't that bad. ive done it a lot and my hair is more damaged from straightening it everyday.

as long at you do it from the bottom and not the top it shouldn't get too knotty.

the only other thing i can think of it try to make it real straight if it is not already and add a bow somewhere or a head band or something like that.

dye it VERY dark brown or black...........highlights r ur choice

if u do, pull everything back (into pony or bun or something) but fringe.........flat iron fringe......maybe headband???........ur done.............looks really cool w long fringe

but u can do the same w/o fringe, just keep part of ur front hair out of bun or ponytail........flat iron
